Ok first of all I know I set my heart on a D600 (new mobile phone) but they seem to be going like hot cakes? I have instead plumped for a W800i Erricson Sony Walkman which is on a not bad package at all! I unfortunatley had to break the news to my current supplier who couldn’t match it that I was leaving them after being loyal for over four years….sigh…at least I get to keep my number

Will let you know how the phone turns out as the new baby arrives some times tomorrow.

I may also be posting a particular Karmic post later on tonight, as there is a lot going on in my tiny brain at the moment; however, I had a bit of a Eureka moment today (it’s ok though I found some air-spray). Christmas time is nearly upon us yet again, and as with any tradition it is the most busy time for us Brass Banders. I have been doing a lot of practiciong lately and it looks like it is finally paying off, I was at band practice last night and tonight and I was sounding pretty DARN good even if I do say so myself.

Anyways - just thought I would gloat about my sound, although I am still coming down with a cold and NO - I haven’t eaten any dodgey turkey or been near any sneezing pidgeons either, so I think I am ok on the “Bird-Flu” front…

I’m off now to chill out in front of the telly with a nice “Napoleon Coffee” …..mmmmmmmmm

Never ever play around with the UTF encoding settings in the control panel unless you realise the consequences!

For those curious enough amongst you this web page is encoded in UTF-8 Format as opposed to the default Windows (ISO) encoding.

Today, the stress is eased slightly as I bartered with utility firms over my energy costs and sat down with the council about my council tax bill, which they take great pleasure in threatening legal action over the slightest missed payment!

On a more positive note, I over estimated my vodafone bill which means my budget has been eased a little this month and also my contract runs out at the end of the month! Time for a new package and phone methinks that’ll cheer me up no end!!!

I’m just going to freshen up a bit, go and get some much needed supplies to get me through this years “ice-age” and then finish building another PC (not for me I hasten to add!!! Those days are sooooo gone)

I’m really trying to enjoy some quality time off, that is until the old folks TV breaks and they are on the phone every other minute asking how to connect up SKY without a Scart into an older tv….will I never escape my technical support engineer role, even on annual leave? ….anyways back to more humiliation on

Here I am trying to make the best of my time off, and instead, I end up becoming completely depressed by my monthly budget. I have received my payslip today and done my sums, and yet another month I am barely able to make ends meet.
