Ocean of Tears

December 29th, 2005 | Category: General

My latest poetic conjuring….inspired by a heady mix of something intangible deep inside…could be indegestion?

I’m lost in an ocean of tears
Wading waste deep in emotion
Hidden by my fears
I search for a way out
I don’t know how to swim
Every choice made gone wrong
I look to the horizon and shout
But nobody hears
I am all alone
And lost in an ocean of tears

I Heart Marvin!!

42 If only the answer was as simple as Mr Adams originally put it. I’ve just watched the on screen version; and have to admit I was pleasantly surprised :) - I have to say without a shadow of a doubt that my favourite robot in the whole world is now Marvin - the manic depressive robot…brought to life by Warwick Davis (Think “Willow”) and Alan Rickman (A veritable god amongst actors with a delivery of witt at it’s best - or worst in this case) - MARVIN

If you have read the book the film is still an enjoyable interpretation, if you haven’t read the book and you have watched the film, then maybe this might intice you a little to pick up a copy from your local library? I would recommend you do! People don’t read enough books these days….

It’s all gone a bit too Nintendo/Xbox if you ask me…

Why bother?

Ok. I really don’t understand the huge importance one second can make on the average life of human beings. I mean “come on” - this is getting a bit rediculous now. Leap Year I can cope with, but A Leap Second??? That’s just being bloody minded and no mistake.

What would be the impact of ignoring the leap second in 2006?

Leap Seconds occur immediately before UTC midnight. Thus, by UK Civil Time, Winter Leap Seconds end at midnight, and Summer ones end at 1 a.m.

The UK formally uses GMT; thus our New Year starts during a positive Leap Second, when there is one in UTC December (NPL).

Apparently when you read into it - some info is here: LEAP STUFF the main reason we use “leap seconds” is to keep UTC (Universal Time) within 0.9 seconds of GMT (Greenwich Meantime)….so whilst there’s a science bit behind all this? I still don’t get the point!! I mean why must they remain within close relationship, why not just let them diverge? One is a legal time measure whilst the other is more of a scientific measure…Pah?!?! Now I’m really confused….

Struggling on in the huge puddle of Indifference…

December 27th, 2005 | Category: General

Christmas is over now….yes I realise my gaudy decorations are still on the website, but I wanted to leave them a couple of days like a mute echo of what could have been - were this a totally different world.

I have been in thinking overdrive today, and that usually is accompanied but copious consumption of red grapes products in shiny bottles, but not today, today was a dry day for some reason. I simply didn’t do much of anything other than think.

Inner world kind of thinking too!! Nothing to do with the “out there” and people around me? I sat down, surfing the net every now and then and conjured up thoughts of me in different scenarios. Different “me’s” swimming around the Cosmos - there was ever so popular “Handsome Model Me” who was constantly on the cover of one magazine or another….there was also “Cassanova Me” - always ready with the right charms for the ladys, there was also “Humanitarian Me” eager to humble the world into submission over whatever cruasade I…er he was on….and “Boring Me” who was well…er I forget now what “he” did?

Inner world stuff makes you think….

Does this all have a witty end? Or a purpose? Or perhaps some poiniant message to convey? Not unless it clearly illustrates that when left completley unnatended some bloke can think absolute shit rubbish - and then have the audacity to blog about it…

How You Life Your Life

You have a good sense of self control and hate to show weakness.
You’re laid back and chill, but sometimes you care too much about what others think.
You prefer a variety of friends and tend to change friends quickly.
Some of your past dreams have disappointed you, but you don’t let it get you down.
How Do You Live Your Life?

Happy Christmas Everyone!

I won’t be updating this much after this post, as I plan to be Incapable… due to the wonderful effects of alcohol and too much turkey. Where ever you are, right now - enjoy your festive time, and spare a thought for the little guy… whoever that may be; this should not be a time of simply pigging out? It should be a time of reflection and thoughts for those less fortunate souls out there….

My Christmas Predictions — – >

I’m not rich, and I don’t consider myself to be poor either; however, next year I foresee a prosperous time for many people, but also a troublesome time for most. What ever you choose to aim for in the New Year - try to stick it out because towards March is when things will begin to pay off…those that are moving home in the New Year; are going to be set back by minor problems but nothing that won’t be overcome, also you may leave something behind without realising it. Finally those in search of true love, take the advice which I am taking for myself!! stop looking, because believe it or not, it is probably staring you right in the face…

Happy Holidays…..
