Indeed! I have been keeping track of Johny Vaughn’s little ruse on Channel Four - Space Cadets with quite a bit of fascination! After todays little concert with the band I returned home (via the parents to sort mum’s computer out - again?!) and well…..I watched a film call “Capricorn One”; which considering the subject of this post, I would say is rather Ironic, only in the Channel Four version here the tables are turned the other way round - in Capricorn one the participants are forced to try and fool the world they are actually on Mars. In Space Cadets, Johnny Vaughn - with the help of the apparently super human “Val”….yes a Russian Military Trainer, with a GURL’S name….bah I can say it?! I’m sure he doesn’t know where I live? Anyways, I am a big supporter of this kind of reality show - it’s not just a simple attempt at getting ratings and entertaining, it also forms the basis for a very interesting Social Experiment on the downright Gullability of the human race (well us islander’s from the UK then…) - I disagree with the number of Actor plants they put in, because I think they would have been fine with even just one, given the sponge like ability of the current crowd to soak up utter CRAP rubbish…If you haven’t seen this program then look it up now, because certainly for this country I suspect this will be a bit of a one off, it’s the sort of undertaking you could NOT pull off a second time - even though I must secretly admidt here that I too truly want to pretend to go to space, where my head and imagination are most of the time anyway…..

Oh well….one last thing! Look out for the Val fitness video in the New Year Sales, it’s sure to be a hit!

Went out last night for some top seasonal Nosh, at the Oaklands Much fun was had by most, the meal was simply delightful. I went for the Salmon Pate starter, followed by inevitable Turkey Dinner and Christmas Pudding washed down by a mixture of alcoholic beverages :)

It’s always the way though. It looked like we had the largest group in there, with one small table filled with a group of “independant” Optometrists (mostly female which was a plus), and another more generously filled table of Hairdressers - and in true ‘Cinderella’ style just as the party was getting started; Sam, Rachel and Leanne from the Hairdresser’s table said….“Ohh your group is sooo boring - why don’t you stay on the dance floor with us, cos we all fancy you something Cronic!!” - (or words more or less to that effect)…my taxi arrives.

Thanks for letting me kip at yours though Colin; I let myself out this morning - I didn’t want to wake you cos it is “technically” the day of rest!

Later on today I will be out with the Brass Band yet again, entertaining troops in Widnes (St Mary’s Church) so that should be fun!!
