Well. I am now beyond disgusted; despite sending a letter to the debt collection agency I received a threatening phone call from Moorcroft Debt Collection this evening, stating “we are recomending legal action against you Mr Davies” which translates into either a court case or bailiffs! For a bill which I am NOT liable to pay, a bill which has now magically grown to £44.

I have now contacted T-Mobile more times than I care to mention in an attempt to iron this fiasco out. I have now just spent half an hour on a phone call I paid for with T-Mobile explaining why it is they who are the negligent party here and not me. I asked for confirmation of who their director was so I could make a formal complaint - which was quickly denied me, never mind I will look it up from Companies House in the morning! They also advised that whilst they investigate this, there is absolutley nothing they can do about the legal proceedings against me? Not even place it on hold, which is what I originally asked for through Moorcroft in my original letter! (Which incidently Moorcroft deny ever receiving)…

Well, I will give the call handlers 24 hours to come up with the goods, but I will certainly be taking this further, next stop for me is trading standards.

Update at 22:30hrs ish, through investigation on the net, it would now appear that the debt collection agency in question are dangerously close to breaching the Protection from Harassment Act 1997, not to mention pretty far from the Office of Fair Trading Debt Collection Guidance published from May 2003 - I have put this in writing to them, to give them an opportunity to rectify this.

Watch this space…
