…I wait with some level of trepidation, as I return home from fixing Andy and jo’s computer (ok replacing with assimilated bits and pieces in a Borg stylee) - to leave them with a better PC, which to be honest I wanted to pack straight back in my car and bring back home with me.

Thanks for a very nice Spag-Bol Jo; even if Andrew “did” interfere in the creative process! Thank’s for the wine too, it is currently breathing ready for me to drink as the snow starts to sighlently fall outside. The temperature has certainly dropped a notch or two from what it has been today.

I think I will chill for the rest of the evening…laters!

Well this day has been a good day for stuff :) First of all I get not one but two Significant Achievement Awards at work - bringing my running tally of awards in the last year upto ***FIVE*** wuwuw!! I will soon be the proud owner of a new microwave oven, and a freeview set-top box!

If that isn’t good enough, on the way home I discovere that there is a Computer Fayre on at the Crewe Alex!?! (I pinch myself in case I am dreaming) …OUCH…Anyways, I venture in and I am plesently surprised again, whilst not on the scale of Manchester or Liverpool’s fayres which I have historically attended there was more choice than I anticipated, and the chance of the odd bargain!

Treated myself to some new kit for the PC, included one of the flexible (”virtually indestructable”) keyboards…I’ll test that out later methinks!

Well, I survived another band rehersal tonight - in a manner of speaking. At least I didn’t narrowly miss the jaws of death yet again, I have stocked up on loads of celery, apples, and tomatoes as I start my diet regime “en” force! I am hoping that (coupled with my exercising…and that may include the odd occasional walk to work weather permitting :P ) I will be considerably lighter by this time next week.

Failing that, I’ll just have to go out and by a new wardrobe that fits….

Since I’ve left Bubble on his own two nights running now, I have treated him to some apple tonight, and I think he appreciates it hehe! Well, time for bed - until tomorrow sweet dreams to one and all.

Well, this must rank as one of the more exciting posts in a while, I have just been witness and party to a near head on collision with a vehicle. I was in my car and the vehicle in front (a good 200yards ahead) was nearly hit head on by an on-coming vehicle, which then swerves at the last minute knocking his/her wing mirror off and the debris from that hits and damages my car (which I didn’t find out until I came home just now!) - and the this “IDIOT” drives off into the night!!

Irony of ironies, the chap in the front vehicle was an off-duty police officer….isn’t it always the way? I stopped out of a matter of course as I was a witness to the whole affair, and I must say this policeman is very lucky indeed. Just one fraction of a second out in his reaction time could have meant the difference between serious injuries or even a fatality.

It doesn’t even bear thinking about! I gave my statement when the uniform arrived, and went on my sober way. I’m just shocked at the way this other vehicle just dissappeared? Between us we surmised this driver was either half-cut, uninsured or disqualified….or a combination of all three? Thinking back to the incident I seem the recall a white coloured/light coloured vehicle (under the amber lights colour definition is not very good), but judging by the wing mirror left behind it could well have been a Cavelier.

Looking back on this I am a little bit shaken, and obviously I have got in touch with my insurance company as I have a damaged front grill between the front bumper and and the bonnet :(
