….Yes!

Serenity is the future! Now, in what appears to be more of a regular occurance I have been watching some DVD’s this evening, and it is always nice to see something in a Sci-Fi movie that makes me go “WOW” - especially in the world of CGI graphics, to a level of believability that to be frank puts even “Industrial Light and Magic” of Star Wars fame to shame!

If you haven’t seen Serenity yet? And your into Sci-Fi? Go gettit now! Apart from being a totally superior flick with some amazing special effects in it, ney…AWESOME! This will definitley be a title added to my library of collectibles, can’t wait for the Special edition, or the “Director’s Cut” yes some more fight scenes with “River” - aka - Summer Glau in fact simply for no other reason watch it cos she’s in it ok??? I think I have a new actress crush….(blush)…

Getting back to the program though, with this movie, you are thrown right into the story. And this works well considering this is somewhat of a pheonix risen from the sci-fi series “Firefly” - I have to say, hat off to Joss Whedon! A very good transition to the big screen here! After watching this film I now want to go back and watch the entire series, to see what I have been missing :)

….To quote Summer (who plays the sexy and very dangerous River - yes I want her babies!!) herself “It’s a none stop emotional roller coaster!” and in this respect I have to say, I agree….you little minx!

  1. Yay, another Serenity fan! I’ve been trying to get friends to watch this for ages. I even went as far as buying the Firefly DVDs for a friend for Christmas and told him he’d want to buy Serenity when it came out on DVD. Low and behold, he loved Firefly and pre-ordered Serenity. He’s going to watch it next week and let me kno what he thinks of it. Of course, I know he’ll love it! :D

P.S. - Found you via Blog Mad.

  2. …You get an “amen!!” from me on that :P

  3. Welcome to the Browncoats, my friend. :) Can’t wait to see how you like the original series. There’s talk on serenity.com of making it a pay per episode show, or an iPod only show. Anything to keep it going. Yes, I know I’m a nerd. But I’m a Joss Whedon fan, from Buffy to Angel to Firefly. If that makes me a nerd, then I’ll wear the badge proudly.
