CYBEREVOLUTION

(Edit) - I was really tired when I originally wrote this post…

Spent today chilling and resting out on a beach at Lantau Island; on the way there we walked through lots and lots of Phillipino women having picnics and generally chilling out themselves in every crevice and space they could find, with it being Sunday, it was their day off from the multitude of maid work etc…in Hong Kong. Looking about me as I walked I pondered on the rediculous statistic that their population outnumbered the mosquitto population here by about ten to one! When we got to Lantau we took a bus halfway round the Island to a beach area called Wui Po which has a South African Restaurant there, after some initial sunbathing (reading for me) we all popped into the restaurant for some food. I chose Ostrich Steak - because I haven’t tried it before - I must admit whilst it was nice enough with peppercorn sauce, it does not have the most destinctive taste. Everyone else went for some more savoury choices including Lasagne! We all let our food settle as we whiled away the rest of the sunlight on the beach until as the sun set, the sky became a gentle peach colour and I cursed myself for not bringing my camera…

Last night we stayed in and watched TV with Pizza after. Whilst at the beach I continued to read the book “Memoirs of a Geisha” - which I am hooked to (thanks to my cuz, Louise) - and also having completed “The Gift, Mia Dolan” - (thanks to Jackie/via Raych)

Tomorrow I will be doing more of the same, followed by a BBQ in the evening with rachel’s friend Lisa. So, there you go. I am not convinced I will be going to Disneyworld as the “local” reviews have not been great!
