Mood : happy

I’m a little gutted really…I’ve been a bit distracted of late though with my little Mystery (wink) - so I won’t let it get me down, but apparently one of my band mates had spare tickets to the Bon Jovi concert in Manchester last week!!  (Nikki-Ann might appreciate this one!)  - you’ve no idea how close we came to being in the same venue! As I would have had those tickets had I gone to rehersal at band a couple of weeks ago.

Funny old world isn’t it?!  Still trying to keep up on Big Brother, I’ve lost touch a little but for a pound a day I can watch it live on my 3G phone! Not that I am inclined to spend that all the time.

Life is changing for me at the moment, all my insane “flirting” at the moment is changing my perspective and outlook somewhat, I think I am actually acknowledging and accepting my current status as “bachelor” rather than “Looking for serious relationship/kids etc..” and that makes me feel good!

Mood : flirty

Who’d have thought it.  I was so convinced I was being wound up by some mates, but this appears to be quite genuine, random text from a woman convinced I am her brother (I soon set the record straight) - what ensues after is a whole day of shameless FLIRTING!

I won’t go into any details regardless of how much you may beg me to, as I want to retain -

a) my chances of further flirting fun

and

b) my mystery!!

Let’s just say, I’m feeling suitably naughty by now and leave it there eh? - YOU fill in the blanks if you must :P

Dissappointment runs through my veins this evening.  I wacthed something tonight, I have been meaning to watch ever since my journey to Hong Kong - I’m not sure whether you remember or not?  I read the book - “Memoires of a Geisha”, well; tonight I watched the big screen rendition of this literary masterpiece, and unfortunatley I was left wanting; despite it’s glossy (yet tame) exterior, it was to put it mildly, hollow.

It follows the book closely enough I guess but in my opinion it is barely a shadow in the presence of what was so masterfully written, the book was more than just a story, it was a lesson in culture.

Perhaps I am biased I my view, since I read the book first?  Maybe I would think different had I seen the film first?  I don’t know….

It’s a shame.  It has not made me think any less of the book following the film however, and it will still find a hardbound place of pride within my library.

…From the book, one thing I took away with me is the incredible artistry and poetry behind the Geisha which is barely touched upon in the film, it is not enough simply to be a thing of physical beauty, but through the artistic acts of a Geisha the beauty of the mind can perhaps be reached an enriched.  So, far from the simple idea of a quick romp in the bed huh?!

The more I learn, the more respect I have for Japenese Culture.  Also the more I realise - I have to learn.

Us westerners I am afraid to say, are clueless in the ancient art of seduction, and pleasure for recreation rather than procreation (largely thanks to the Victorians)…and is perhaps one of the more minor reasons I still count myself a bachelor; although - in my defence I will argue that it is because I am extremley choosy :P

YES!!!!  Sezer the Geezer is the loser…and what a record vote?! 91.6%!

 that’s ***91.6%***

Don’t misunderstand me here.  He isn’t a bad guy; just a little mis-guided; and as pennence for losing his way tonight the nation did it for him >>  There’s the door mate!  Good Luck in the future though - and if you want any form of redemption I suggest you remain faithful to Immogen!!!  Though in my humble opinion she deserves someone better.

…blimey though….     91.6%  who would have thought?  I hope we as a nation can be this united when it comes to the world cup?!
