…well no not exactly, yet Superman Returns; isn’t really a sequel - as it doesn’t entirely follow on where things left off, niether is it a remake (yes I went to see it yesterday); but all that aside a very good effort by all, top casting and whilst in my heart you could never “replace” Christopher Reeve (God rest his soul) - you can certainly complement it, as Brandon Routh picks up the Olympic Torch that is Supermans unforgettable cape and boots; long live the red caped phenomenon, when I went to the cinema with my brother and sister-in-law we settled down to the opening sequence and as only a infant of no more than eight could do (which secretly we all wanted to!) - at the end of the opening sequence gasps out in a loud whisper “WHOAH!”, replied by a quick “Shhh!!” from his parents and a lot of chuckles from the rest of us - it really helped make the atmosphere (better than the lad behind in full Superman outfit including plastic wig!)…

If your a stalwart of the old Superman, and refuse to move on, I still recomend you go and see this, for even as a stand alone movie it has some merit!  No shortage of stunts, cgi and caped wonder stuff to add to the “WHOAH!” factor of the movie - so much so, that you hardly notice the two and a half hours pass by (yes TWO!!)

Anyways, as the credits rolled so did my feet straight to the toilet to releive my struggling bladder!

In other news - mum is still in hospital and we simply don’t know when they will get their act together.  We all met up for lunch at the hospital, Mum, Dad, Andrew, Jo, Rachel and I - Rachel said her goodbyes with a couple of tears and the odd joke and went to the airport for her flight back to Hong Kong, and shortly after we all drifted of ourselves.

I’m hiding in the cool interior of my home at the moment, it’s simply too hot to go out for me, (and my hayfever makes me pretty much a prisoner to myself on days like this).

Well, hope you lot of having a nice weekend where-ever you are…laters
