For goodness sake! Airport Closed in wake of terror plot! - the plain (sorry about pun) and simple fact is that the “precautionary” security measures enforced have added to delays, meaning the airport(s) fast run out of space for any more planes, leaving them little or no choice but to close to any further incoming flights….hardly “Hollywood blockbuster” material is it?
Crikey how dramatic.

Yes that’s right, firstly they decide to transfer mum from Warrington to Halton (again), but kind of forget to tell her or anyone else for that matter, then despite Warrington and Halton being part of the same “trust” it appears to be most certainly biased in favour of Warrington! You see, mum was provided with no pillows for her bed in Halton, because apparently there is not only a bed shortage but a pillow shortage too! Despite there being a whole disused ward next door! Warrington on the other hand is over-run with the bloody things!
Not only that, but mum is on a pain management system that has taken years to get right, she is entitled to her medication at certain times, and despite me asking on her behalf whilst visiting last night it took the nursing staff nearly 40 minutes to act upon that request (maybe I should have been more ascertive?).
This isn’t just my mum this is a general thing - because moral is so low in the health service, a lot of people have fast turned into “job’s worths” - when is the government going to realise we need LESS forms, red tape and managers, and more happy staff, bed’s and crucially Pillows!!!
Come on Mr Blair? What gives? The level of care my mum is getting is so incoherent; especially as she is constantly swapped between two hospitals, that are worlds apart in the standard of care they offer.
We may not be in the dark ages when it comes to medicine, BUT we most certainly are when it comes to care.
