First of all, as quick as mum went in, she is back home again.  Still worried about the possibilities that short term memory loss suggest, but the chest team that examined her say her Oxygen levels are fine and are discounting this as a cause…

In other news, The Rail “LACK OF” Service continues to be the pits.  I had to travel to Basingstoke today for a meeting, and for the first leg of the trip I was standing despite having a reserved seat (I felt bad about kicking an old lady out of my seat) so I let this one ride, I managed to get a seat once we reached Birmingham no biggy. 

Anyways, the return trip was just as bad, Got train from Basingstoke to Birmingham fine enough, but the connecting train was delayed due to a broken down service further up the track by over an hour.  I simply got a different train as there is more than one service that stops at Crewe (lucky me) - whilst waiting though; all I seemed to hear from the tannoy was apologies for late or cancelled services - and on a Friday to boot!!! 

…Public transport has a seriously long way to go, before it becomes a service once again!

So, for me it’s taken from 16:30hrs until 21:00hrs to get from Basingstoke to Crewe, when I can do the same journey to Crewe from London in less than two hours! 

Think next time I have to go, I’ll grab a pool car and drive.  Also I am glad to see Bacon is in the lead on the current Cyber-Poll! :P
