I just came to the realisation that I have become rather conditioned - I am the sort of individual that learns through inquisition, rather than through absorption. I find it difficult to sit back quietly and listen to the “whole” story about anything; and I am beginning to think that my approach is a little flawed.
I find I listen to little snippets and ask questions throughout, my mind works at a rate and pace and likes to try and fill in the gaps for me, this can have the affect of annoying those I interact with.
Now that I have come to the realisation of that, I believe I am empowered enough to re-wire my circuitry a bit and change this, it may even make me a better person!
…Whoah!

I have to say, I have surpassed even myself! I have been trying to get a flash header to work for ages! Now thanks to a few pointers from Drew Mclellan, I have a swanky new header on my Blog, in order to get it to work; I simply inserted the necessary code in the Header.php file under the part which calls the header from the stylesheet; I even left the original image in play, so if you don’t have Flash installed, you will see the bog standard image I had before!
…Phew…Now a couple of hours sleep before I get back to work…..

Back Story here > Knowledge is Power!
So, it’s a scientific fact that men are smarter? In an IQ based test; however I must dissagree here and defend the fairer sex (in the vain hope that I will continue to “get some”) - IQ tests alone do not measure the capability of an individual to gain promotion or do well in any environment. There are lot’s of factors involed, it isn’t like simply taking out a tape measure and saying “yeah - your ten feet tall”
IQ is simply an indication of a human’s capacity “PROCESS” and “APPLY” information; it doesn’t necessarrily mean it is processed either in a ”LOGICAL” or a ”SENSIBLE” way. After all, even a Monkey can press a red button?
I agree with professor Alan Smithers here, you can’t simply say we are the best based on one type of test. In fact the IQ test in my opinion is flawed as it should take into account lifestyle knowledge and wisdom as well as maths, english and science - how many blokes know how to iron? Or can run a family home the same way women have done faultlessly for centuries (and I am not saying a woman’s place is in the home here)?
I guess you could say I am a bloke who is in touch with his feminist side, and think that one statistic isn’t enough to label women dumber than us, it takes a driving test and an in-ability to park at least!!
In fact I think that some clever psychologist somewhere ought to come up with a “Wisdom” test to augment the standard “IQ” tests out there, THIS would give us a better indication of “Intelligence of any Worth”

…It continues… for some of the back story read here >> National Hinderance Service
Today I took receipt of a Pulse Oximeter, which is a device for measuring the pulse and oxygen levels (approximate of course) in the bloodstream, this is done using a clever infra-red beam focused through the fingertip and measured, making use of the Spectrum Absorption characteristics of reductive homoglobin and Oxyhemoglobin using the Lambert Beer Law.
What really sucks about this, is I had to fork out for one of these off Ebay, so my mother with her condition not going away anytime soon, can at least have an idea of her oxygen levels whilst she remains at home and “COMPLETLEY” out of the mind of NHS - the irony here is they are happy to continue supplying tanks of oxygen at whatever expense that is, but will not under any circumstance loan her one of these Oximeters. Which are currently available from any decent mountaineering store.
So, is this the Governments idea of reform? “You want crucial medical support device, you go out and buy it.”
….This of course is falling on deaf ears, so just to be sure, let’s send this information to the local MP and Radio Stations huh?
