I once spent over 7 hours doing a 2.5hr trip. It should have taken me 2 trains (Shrewsbury to Birmingham - Birmingham to Melton Mowbray). Due to who knows what, I had to take a bus from Shrewsbury to Birmingham, a train from Birmingham to Litchfield (wrong direction, but that's what we were told!), then a bus from Litchfield to Leicester and another bus from Leicester to Melton Mowbray.
