Mood : yucky and more...

Been to Basingstoke and back in one day, somewhere in the region of 370 miles, yeah yeah!!  I know in “America” that’s like just round the corner to the seven eleven or summit? But it certainly was a bit overkill for a meeting that lasted 2.5 hours concerning something that has a 60% chance of directly affecting me….ok the odds “are” stacked but it still don’t change the floooey achy feeling I got right now.

I’m back home and I’m going straight to bed, I so wish I had a hot water bottle….  :(

No rest for the wicked…

I’ve got an early dart tomorrow morning, to get to Basingstoke before lunchtime, ready for some training on Application Monitoring of sorts.  Sounds quite interesting; since I have looked briefly at Application Acceleration from Juniper, this could spark a bit more of my interest?!

Trouble is, it’s gonna be a long day, and I have got to make it to band tomorrow night too, by hook or by crook; as my attendance has suffered of late; strange how things turn out?  Oh well.

Hmmm….seems Bubble is trying his luck on tonight, I fed him a feast of Celery, Cucumber and Radishes when I came in, and he’s squeaking at me for more! “Willpower Bubble - Willpower!!!”

Well, you get the picture.  Random things happen to random people.  I am so glad I am random enough for them to heppen to me too!  I have been wondering how my life was gonna change and now, well…

You know when you meet someone new, and it feels like you’ve know them for ever?  Yup - cool ain’t it :P Not even work can take away the light airy feeling I have right now, I’m off to do the housework with a skip in my step!!

Mood : Hung Over

Out on the town for two nights on the run, drinking more than I ought to.  Firstly last thursday night was the leaving do for a couple of colleagues from work, Steve Walsh and John Conolly; Steve retiring and John escaping to a new job (the lucky £”$%$£%) - Anyways.  It’s been an absolute privilidge to know and to work with these chaps, I am sure the place simply won’t be the same, especially some the of banter we used to have…

Yesterday night I went out with some of the CCC lot and we hit Nantwich with a vengeance, I’m sure they must fear us coming by now; as this isn’t the first time.  Anyways - to cut a long story short Dave and I ended up going to Gregs nightclub or as I like to call it now, the eye candy store…anyways, being the cheeky devil that I am these days, I (well Dave and I that is) cadged a lift back to Crewe with a couple of young Crewe’ites called Katie and Kimberly.  Unfortnatley since I was slightly less than sobor (understatement of the year) I got out somewhere near Morrisons which is like a gazillion miles from my house (after securing Kimberly’s email address of course!)….I got home about 3.30am, and crashed…and I think that catches us all up to the present.

…In other news…I have run out of Resolve :(

LOST

January 24th, 2007 | Category: General

Ok…it’s late, or early depending on your perspective.  I have to be up in a couple of hours to catch a train to Basingstoke; such is my exciting life these days.  In my quest for knowledge - which is my esoteric way of saying, whoah this part of my job is way complex; I need a second opinion?!

Anyways, thanks to a colleague I have on loan the entire first season of LOST, since I have never seen any of these, I thought I had best catch up before season three hits the streets.  I am now about four cd’s in and although I want to keep watching this phenomenon I have to force myself to get some sleep in bed, otherwise I may be in a bit of a bind later on this morning.  Oh well; that’s the way the cookie crumbles…

The other reason I am still up???  Due to my odd hours recently I (for the first time ever) I decided to take some Pro-Plus - I guess you could say it did it’s job a little “too” well.  Here’s to at least an hour or two of shut eye (please!!)

Life is like a….

Mood : drained

“Life is like a box of chocolates”, in an essay of no less than a thousand words, discuss.

That kind of somes up my weekend.  In that it came, and it went.  I played squash again this morning for the first time since Christmas and boy don’t I know it now.  I need to find a burst of energy from somewhere so I can pick myself up and carry on.  I have to.  Admitedly I did score some points and played one or two blinding shots, but alas the better man won - Hope I didn’t tire you “too” much Scotty Boy??  (Evil Grin)…Martin doesn’t even figure in the win lose stakes as he simply out classes me altogether.

Oh well…In other news I have a migraine.  Most annoying thing - blasted thing refuses to go away.  So, I have decided it’s dehydration as a result of over exertion from this morning’s squash.  Time to hit the water and hope it settles down.

Soapstar becomes a Superstar!

Antony Cotton

Well done!!  I know I was hoping for Haley to win, in my own selfish way.  Though I have to say, from the beginning of the competition until now, good ol’ Mister Cotton has come along leaps and bounds to become vocally in my opinion good ol’ Mister Silk! You’ve got a lot to be proud of tonight mate!

And to Haley I would say, can’t wait to see you tread the Musical Boards; and should you release an album anytime soon, I’ll be sure to add it to my collection - you’re not a runner up tonight by any means, because I think you are both WINNERS!
