Ok, I have left it all day to ring them back and ask what is going on with my water, and I get the familiar record response from there unfortunate operator.. “Oh we are sending a van out now…but don’t ask why it’s taken all day cos I don’t know” - So; fair enough - I’d like to complain please, can you give me the procedure??

“Well…if you wait for the supply to be fixed you can…”, Whoah there Buddy!!!! I don’t have to wait for anything to be fixed to complain - give me the goddam procedure now!!  You “do” know it don’t ya? 

Ok I have 2 options, 1) I can wait an hour (translation nobody will call) for the manager to ring me back, or 2) I can write a letter….a letter how quaint!  They have OFFICIALLY known about this problem since 6am this morning and in less than one hour I will have been without water for 12 hours. 

What Do I pay my water bills for huh??   It’s Sunday, I’ve got a pile of washing to do, so I can wear clothes to work next week, let alone even flush the loo.  All United Utilities can do is ARSE around all day, because they are probably too stingy to pay the overtime for their engineers to come out on a Sunday whilst simultaneously fobbing us consumers off…

Yeah yeah, I know - think of the poor souls in Africa who don’t have such a luxury as me.  Well, I do.  Which is why I haven’t been bitching about this all day long.  I just get fed up at the amount of bull I am fed on a daily basis. 
We pay our taxes, we pay our insurances, we pay our bills, so that the economy can continue to corrupt on a global scale.  So that countries can continue to go to war in their toy planes, so maybe if we all, like, just stopped paying taxes, and stopped paying insurances and bills things might change huh?? 

NOW THERE’S A REVOLUTIONARY THOUGHT HUH!!

EDIT as of 17:25hrs United Utilities have called back, and “surprise” they blame their contractors thus avoiding any direct blame, funny huh?  Well I have initiated my complaint and I have asked for some compensation.  So lets wait and see shall we?

EDIT as of 18:45hrs the so called United Utilities “gang” have arrived, and knocked my door…”here have some bottled water?!” - gee thanks like I can do all my washing AND have a shower…  Let’s see if this is fixed in a couple of hours eh?

EDIT as of 19:18hrs (I’m sure they’re doing this to prove my title wrong but…) I get a call from United Utilities customer care team, to advise that they have a bigger problem than they originally thought; apparently as the broken section of pipe is fixed other bits are breaking.  This doesn’t surprise me since I doubt the street pipework here has been upgraded since the second world war!  Oh well….guess I may still be smelling like stinky fish at work tomorrow.

EDIT as of 21:43hrs Hey guess  what?  STILL NO WATER!!!

EDIT as of 00:57hrs The water has been back since about 23:30hrs - and I nearly have some clothes to wear to work in ooooh say a couple of hours?!  I will be following up my claim for compensation during the day of course….as this in real terms I was nearly 24hrs without a water supply, though as far as they are concerned, since this was only reported at 6am it was a mere 17 hours without a supply….I’ll just keep my finger’s crossed it’s still on in the morning when I grab my long awaited shower! 

Since my current “short-term” lodger and friend is currently….er…up the duff.  Well you know - “bun in the oven” etc… She has asked me about putting together a bit of a pregnancy blog; since the baby isn’t mine (and there’s no way it could be - cos Adam is her man!!) and she’d knock my lights out if I say otherwise :p I am only too happy to oblidge…so without further …uh….  gilding the lilly?

In other news, I STILL have no bloody sodding water?! 

I have now been without a water supply since about midnight, I can’t wash.  I can’t do the washing. I can’t flush. and I can only have soft drinks from the fridge. 

 I have reported this to their helpline, they advise me this was reported earlier in the morning but at present they have no clue (nice to know my water meter payements are being well spent?!).  So I figured I would give them one - The “£%”"$£% open water-works in the road opposite where new houses are being built.

….Anyways, I will let them get on with it for now; but if they even attempt to insult my intelligence I will make a formal complaint.
