Well, today my body clock has nearly recovered, given my strangley timed weekend thanks to the snow Thursday/Friday.  I did something today, that has been dying to be finished for - well a very long time (which is borderline too long!!); I decided to finish off stripping the wallpaper in my hall, and prepair the wall for a lick or two of paint….seriously…I think I may be unwell!!

The odd thing is, whilst I am scraping away at the pre-World War II walls and noticing all the imperfections and chipped bits of plaster underneath, I realise in a philosphical sense, I am looking into a mirror.  This wall is ….me!  I mean once you chip away the surface of me, I too have….imperfections, but then don’t we all?

The great thing though, was that with this realisation…came the equally far out realisation, that just as the wall is fixable, with a bit of polyfiller etc…so am I!  (not literally mind?!)….

In other news, I finally got round to watching the remake of “The Wicker Man” and whilst there is a tenuous homage to the original in it, by naming the main focus of the story; a little girl called “Willow Woodward” (who is a big girl in the original *wink); that’s where any simlarity stops, all of the quintisential quirks of the original, set it far higher on a pedastal than this new version I am afraid to say.  I mean lets face it, there ain’t no way you can top “Brit Ekland” as Willow…ok I know…I’m a bloke I’m bound to say that!
