Simply Bee…

At the weekend I did a sponsored walk with the band to raise some much needed Centenary Funds, and whilst on the walk between Helsby and Frodsham; I took my trusty EOS Rebel and turned my walk into a nature walk!  The following was captured towards the end…and whilst I can’t stand wasps!  I have all the time in the world for the humble bumble bees!

    Great photos! :D Isn’t the Rebel line the American name for the EOS 300/350/400D line?

    I can’t stand wasps (Been stung once, don’t intend on it happening again!), but will get in close to photograph bees (as I find them friendlier than your average wasp!).

    Isn’t there a hill behind Frodsham where you can see over the town and surrounding area?

    Yup! You are right on all counts! In fact I think I will pop up there (Frodsham Hill) at the wekend (weather permitting) and take some snaps for the website :P

    Which EOS do you have then? I have the 350D (and a 300 film one that hasn’t been used for a while).

    Looking forward to seeing the photos from Frodsham hill :)

    It’s actually called the Rebel (Canadian Import) - and is the one which is the equivalent of the EOS 300D I believe.

    My friend in Skivos is doing a bee project I did send you the email, would you be interested or your company or friends in sponsoring a bee hive for 4 years?? you get to name your bee hive and you recieve 1kg of thyme honey from your bees each year????
    let me know as without the bes in our world we wouldn’t live so I am trying to help my friend save the bees in Skivos an island in Greece, you could even go and visit your bee hive too if you wanted too.

    Sounds like a cool idea! Although if I end up in New Zealand may be a little tricky importing the Honey!  As MAFF there is very strict on any organic produce…so I reckon I’ll send it to mum and dad instead :)  -  I’ll look in my email, if I can’t find it you’ll have to resend it to me ok?
