Mood : geeky

ok…so I have been reading a little about “4G” techy stuff, specifically regarding some of the challenges that are faced in creating a unified wireless environment combining both WLAN and Cellular technologies. It’s all pretty exciting stuff which is in full swing at the moment, I’m just an observer on the fence at this stage, trying to catch a glimpse into this world.

Anyways, whilst I was reading about this, it suddenly occured to me - what with all this wireless technology and merging of mobile and wirless technology, when are we going to see things like a watch which using it’s built in WLAN tech talks to your broadband connection at home, and using NTP resets itself against any number of Internet Trusted time sources??? I wonder if one already exists? You’d never have to set you watch again?!! now take this to the 4G level, and you maybe then have a watch that automatically resets itself to the local timezone your in, as soon as it detects a Wireless Hotspot and communicates with an NTP source generically….AWESOME?!!! Ok, now if this doesn’t yet exist….how do I patent the idea now and become a millionaire overnight….o.O

Hmmmm….
