I guess I have a small fear that I currently have H1N1, and I don’t jest! This is the most severe flu I have ever had the non-pleasure to experience. I’ve still got a temperature, the shakes, swollen glands after nearly a week of near constant bed rest, fluids, Fenugreek Tea, Honey, Vitamen C tablets etc… the only thing that has abated so far is the level of soreness in my throat, I no longer need to constantly eat painkillers like sweets…

The only thing I have not experienced is Nausia/Vommiting, however there is no reason to suspect a zoonotic infection, since I don’t work with pigs. I’m just unlucky enough to have caught a bad case of Influenza…

I am hoping I will be well enough to resume work next Monday. Unless I grow trotters and a snout?

It would appear that this is a favourite every year now, and after a little bit of digging I have confirmed that the fact is Mars will NOT appear as big as the moon this August, and also that it only ever has under the aid of a telescopic view.

It was indeed a spectacularly close pass for Mars back in 2003; though this was still not close enough to rival our own moon. This year 2009, it is likley to reach 1/60th of the size of the moon - and will be best observed from the Southern Hemisphere (yay for me!!) as the brightest thing in the night skies over the next couple of months

In other news….I am still fighting off the black plague (fanks Rachael) though it’s my own fault so not after any sympathy…really!! Also Since this is a technical post how about a Geeky joke for you all??
