So after enjoying the ballet immensely on Friday, I took in the Youth Band playing at the botanical gardens, shortly before meeting with Rachael’s parent and their pet dog - “Brandy” one of our common links!! I decided to hone some of my macro skills with the old camera. Please enjoy some of these images I took:-

It was a beautiful day on Saturday afternoon, and the band did very well - which is quite a testament given the average age range in the band. A heartening thing to know there’s a future in Brass banding here
In other knews - apparently my charity moustache (for Movember) has me looking a cross between a “dirty-old-man” and Higgins from Magnum PI?!!! I’ll share a photo towards the end of “Movember” before I shave it off…cos I soooooo hate moustaches?! This is pure torture for me, so I doo hope someon….anyone, donates something for the worthy cause?

I’ve just come back from another one of those ’speed-dating’ things at a bar called D4 in town, and well; whilst I wasn’t initially planning on going to this, I went anyway. I didn’t go with much of a game-plan either; just thought it would be good to mingle and meet new people!
Of course that is exactly what I did, it was a very relaxed atmosphere; and I will probably go again the next time it’s on. I have to say though…having spoken to a number of the ladies there I discovered some of them have had some very interesting jobs; from driving articulated lorries in the UK to….well…you may actually want to sit down here…Bovine Spermologist…yes, that’s right folks I spoke to a lady that actually transports and delivers - Bull’s jizz….
…Let’s just say I was speechless for a whole 3 seconds!! WOW!
“Cum again?” - I said mockingly….
No really!!!

So I’ve been out watching the ballet yet again!! It’s beginning to grow on me, I never realised how much fun it could be, and the atmosphere tonight was awesome! Particularly watching the aged yet energetic Sir Jon Trimmer, who’s been at this lark for over 50 years!!
I’ll remember this ballet for a good while, it even had a good few laugh out loud moments through the three acts; Gary Harris’ take on this piece is a refreshing departure from the original Russian Ballet interpretation and if I could afford it, I’d go and watch it again tomorrow!
Anyways…I’m tired now and in need of sleep so I am off to bed now, enough culture for one evening eh?

Hope everyone has a great weekend….I’ll be busy fixing Nimue’s laptop….what an exciting life I lead. I can feel all the jealousy now! Well, I’m sorry but…this is MY life so…meh!!!
