A dissappointment to the world of holistic therapies…
Posted by: cyberevolution in General, tags: energy, holistic, Reiki, SCAMSI came across an individual this week, who is marketting as yet unfounded methods in an apparent self styled system which incorporates the Bowen Method and Bodytalk TM, which whilst considered individually may be considered genuine enough albeit rather young in their development. I have since emailed this person and given them the opportunity to defend themselves and describe the system they use to me, in a way I can understand as an energy worker.
So far I have been met with silence, which in itself speaks volumes. This person appears to be feeding on vulnerable people and making a very tidy profit to boot. He uses an imaging system call PIP; which became popular in the early 80’s and still not fully understood; it’s claims include being able to visually describe the state of one’s chakra’s. However, perhaps what is even more disturbing is EIS which this individual is casually including into his “package” which you have to contractually sign into by the way, after parting with more than a little small change.
EIS - Electro-Interstitial-Scanning is close in concept to an ECG except there are electrodes placed all over the body, and DC current is used instead of AC; there is no clear scientific grounds behind the validity of this system, and whilst it is still awaiting FDA approval in the States it remains illegal to use commercially over there.
I will for now maintain his anonymity because I beleive everyone has a right to have their own say first. If I receive no further contact from this person, I feel compelled as a respectable Reiki practitioner to investigate his “operation” further because at this stage it appears he is bringing the world of Holistic and Complimentary Medicine into desrepute and making the job of all those genuinely working with such modalities so much harder.
It is clear from my brief meeting with Mr “X” as we shall call him for now, that he clearly does not fully understand the treatments he has packaged together. He uses hard-sell car salesman techniques to try and suck you into parting with a lot of money, he offers a money back guarentee, though I suspect this is far from no quibble…
Let’s just say I was left feeling physically sick after meeting Mr “X”. his body language was loud and clear, and the more questions that were asked like; “What do you do”, “What is your treatment”, “What does it involve”, “How long does it take”, were met with ill informed responses and at one point he even deferred us to an American You-Tube Infomercial…. bad form indeed!!! I don’t know what you think, but I really can’t believe this guy is genuine in his approach - he had no passion for the work he does when spoken to and even got annoyed when we wanted to walk away and “think” about it… I think when you are an energy worker, who focuses on healing you should focus on the needs and well-being of your client, and NEVER on cost - recession or not.
