Where has this year gone..?
I’m sat here thinking OMG! The year has flown by! ZIP! Faster than the ‘Speed of Light’ it seems. Towards the end of the year, I will have a proper review of my year to date, and some of the things I have seen, done and achieved; it ain’t over by any stretch of the imagination ;p
A colleague at work has inspired me to dust off the cobwebs from my Novel; which I’ve been trying to write on and off for over 15 years! Sigh….I’m gonna be typing like a mad typing thing tonight! My imagination is fired up, and I feel like I can make a good deal of progress with it tonight. Awesome!
In other news? I’m off to watch Don Quixote tomorrow so will let you know how ‘that’ goes…such the culture wh*re I am of late ;p

Today, being Guy Fawkes Day seems somehow ironic, that the future American President is being decided as we speak? Looking at the current polls so far, it looks like an incredibly close fought battle too! I’ll be stoked if Obama gets the job though as that will be true history in the making as the first African-American President.
It’s going to be a very interesting time ahead for sure!

So….Derek dragged me out today for a bit of a tramp, to discover yet another hidden gem of the local area that many people tend to overlook….the Percy Reserve Waterfall!! It involves a twenty minute trek/climb up the creek within the reserve, but once you get there, it’s right in the middle of this little walked valley; totally cut off from civilisation! Such the great place to do a bit of meditation or what-not! Anyhoooo….since I had my camera and tripod with me, I thought it prudent to try some time lapse shots on the waterfall!

For those out there that understand such things - the first one of the creek was taken with a shutter speed 2, and an aperature value of 16 with a focal length of 28.0mm. The next of the waterfall was taken with a shutter speed of 5, an aperature value of 22, with a focal length of 18.0mm, and the final shot was taken with a shutter speed of 1/5, an aperature value of 8 with a focal length of 18.0mm in all cases an ISO value of 100 was used. All in RAW format - I’ve tweaked the lighting slightly using software to compensate for external environment, and that’s about it really?
I’ve not really played with aperature settings much, so I would be curious to see what people think of my first reall attempts here!
