So, I am pretty much moved into my new digs flatting with one of my new bessy mates Courtney! Everything went a lot smoother than I could have imagined even transporting my sofa-bed was less than a chore thanks to Rachael’s (from band) dad with his “Tank” hehe people carriers are ace cars!! Since moving in, I’ve been a bit of a party demon; I was out Friday just gone till 1 am, then on Saturday I was out till 5am!! If anything I feel like I am getting younger not older if that makes sense? I guess I am more suited to city life than I thought.

I’ll take it all in moderation of course…as I don’t want to risk growing bored of it. There’s even a small family living at our flat, a pigeon has nested just outside on the balcony and now has a couple of chicks.

In other news, the corner of my head made it onto TV One News on Saturday as I was doing the Kickaldie & Staines Christmas Window Display Fanfares with the band and also welcoming Santa along, I guess this marks the start of the Christmas banding season, so I’ll be out a lot with the band over the next couple of weeks….

Andrew (bro!!) if you read this, I am really sorry I have not managed to call again to wish you a happy birthday, but I’ve been in the middle of a move and just a little distracted, I’ll get in touch soon and have a chinwag ;p

Hmmm….think that covers things for now.

Oh no!!! Wait!!! I went to a preview showing of the new James Bond movie yesterday too (I have the right friends yay!!!) it rocks, it ROKS BIGTIME!! I thouroughly recommend you watch it, has all the hallmarks of Bond - the title sequence, the opening action sequence, the bond girl…the only noticable lack from this movie was no ‘Q’ but that doesn’t diminish the film at all.

Ok that’s all for now folks blogs ya laterz…..

So, I’ve been growing a Moustache in the name of good causes for nearly a month now! I’ve not had a huge charitable responce, but hey it was still an interesting exercise; because I looked in the mirror today, and instead of seeing myself…I saw my Grampy?!?!!

How mad is that? Once the month is done, I will take a pic, and also scan a pic of Grampy so you can see what I mean! Funny old world….it’s a shame really. Despite the family resemblance this moustache has born; it isn’t here to stay - sadly; it’s pure torture….I hate moustaches!

In other news….I move into my new appartment (flat share with fellow MSD Colleague) on Thursday. I’ve booked the day off in preparation for the to’ing and fro’ing I’m going to have to do, to transfer my “Horde” over….the benefits of this new location? More space, sane (kinda) company, and close to the centre of city (paaaarty!!!!)….bring it on!

So, I have just learned that the local council in Crewe are taking me to court for none payment of Council Tax, since my 6 month ‘grattis’ has apparently expired? Now. “If” I was still in the country I would concede my responsibility and cough up. BUT I have lived in New Zealand for over half a year now, and here’s my big problem with all of this….I have an empty house yes, but I have it currently on the market with every intention to sell as I am pretty settled here in New Zealand now. I am not currently in the UK, nor do I have any intention of returning for any period of time - so I cannot in any way physically benefit from anything the council tax pays for, so why the W#$%@ should I be held liable?

I have of course voiced this concern to my (ex)local council, and await their response but failing this, I will perhaps explore contacting the government more directly, alas I fear this approach will fall on completely deaf ears…but you’ve got to admit - this is pretty ‘irregular’

I can see the council’s argument “if” I was keeping the house, and intending to return, but I am not! So, the fact they are throwing court summonses my way, gets my hackles up. I’ve got enough on my plate with family, without local government in the UK adding to things!

They’ll do anything to scrape any last pennies from us serfs and peasants - it would appear to me that feudal disparity is alive and well, and currently living in the UK!
