Such an intriguing point of view. Throw ego out the door, quiet your mind, and forget about the past and the future, all that matters is - THE NOW!
Regret, Hope, Fear, Stress, Anxiety - ALL by-products of living outside of the NOW.
Although I can’t tell you how to get there, if you can find your way to the NOW, in body, mind and spirit - you’ve found the holy grail of exisistence my friends!
It’s time to turn the page, are YOU ready for a new chapter?

It’s been a while huh! Got some hard work planned for the weekend, most of Saturday is going to be spent recording with the Brass Band, for our forthcoming CD! So, I’ve been practicing, and practicing… and… well you get the picture. Also got a date with some ‘Hells’ Pizza too (not the reason for this post’s title by the way) this weekend; and maybe some friendly Texas Hold’em.
I watched ‘Plunkett & Macleane‘ again this evening, I must say; it’s one of my top ten DVD’s! considering there’s a very loose spattering of fact surrounding the main character’s this adds to the adventure - A man once of some means, hits rock bottom; falls in with an ex-apothecary (chemist to you and me!), and much robbing and horse-riding ensues! With a great host of top name actors - I have to say Ken Stott plays a great ‘baddy’ in this film. Lyv Tyler plays the teenage groupie basically who swoons over Jonny Lee Miller as Captain Macleane and his ‘man’ Robert Carlisle who plays Plunkett, which is certainly a name associated with brains; now - did you know the guy who invented Teflon had this surname? No? Well, it’s true! Roy Plunkett invented Teflon, by accident; back in 1938 and now here’s a real irony for ya! He was born in - wait for it!! New Carlisle; Ohio! Anyhoo - this poor guy is about as alive as the original ex-apothecary since he passed away almost exactly 14 years ago.
In other news, I are tired, so I are going to bed - grammer is soooo over-rated. Sleep on the other hand, isn’t….night all!

A film crew have been lurking around the grounds at work these last couple of days and proved quite entertaining to watch during one of my ‘vdu breaks’ =p Although we’ve no idea at all what they are filming as they are being extremly tight lipped, using my incredible detective like power I was able to ascertain which crowd they were so just click the link and you’ll see they are the same outfit responsible for flicks like the Whale Rider for example!
I’ll keep my nose to the ground in case I learn any more!!

Well, what an eventful weekend…
Apart from watching “Death-proof” - instant Tarrantino classic, and featuring a New Zealander stunt chick - Zoe Bell as herself to boot!! I must admit, he could make a 30 second advert for TV and it would be an instant classic!! The man’s a LEGEND~!
So, anyhooo - come Saturday evening, and my landlords invite me along with them and some friends to Timaru (near Upper Hutt), Speedway to take in the season finale - Stock Car races, and Demolition Derby. For $15 you get three plus hours of gritty, petrol fumed pure adrenaline! I even got to wander round the pitts during the races…TOP! The highlight of the evening was seeing the Super-Saloon Class racing, all these soop’d up slick cars, AND a Mini!!! The Mini held it’s own however - I even had a chat with the driver; since he’s the nephew of one of my landlord’s friends?!
Goood times!
