Where has this year gone..?
I’m sat here thinking OMG! The year has flown by! ZIP! Faster than the ‘Speed of Light’ it seems. Towards the end of the year, I will have a proper review of my year to date, and some of the things I have seen, done and achieved; it ain’t over by any stretch of the imagination ;p
A colleague at work has inspired me to dust off the cobwebs from my Novel; which I’ve been trying to write on and off for over 15 years! Sigh….I’m gonna be typing like a mad typing thing tonight! My imagination is fired up, and I feel like I can make a good deal of progress with it tonight. Awesome!
In other news? I’m off to watch Don Quixote tomorrow so will let you know how ‘that’ goes…such the culture wh*re I am of late ;p

Today, being Guy Fawkes Day seems somehow ironic, that the future American President is being decided as we speak? Looking at the current polls so far, it looks like an incredibly close fought battle too! I’ll be stoked if Obama gets the job though as that will be true history in the making as the first African-American President.
It’s going to be a very interesting time ahead for sure!

I checked out Simon Pegg’s latest flick last night - “How to lose Friends and Alienate People”. It was a fascinating glimpse into that fickle world of glitzy stars, role models and wannabe party crashers. I loved every minute of it.
That was basically the closing highlight of my Labour holiday weekend. I also took in some more of the local sites by going for a mini tramp down to the Horokiwi Dam.
Not the biggest dam in the world, but basically a memory left behind of the milling past of the local area. Where the mills were basically powered by high pressure water power. I’ll upload a couple of pics I took there later on.
So, here we are, nearly in November and “All Hallows Eve” is almost upon us once again. As one who has been annointed the Holly King in the past, it will be interesting to see how this year shapes up, at one of the largest halloween Parties in the whole of New Zealand. What do “YOU” have planned for Halloween? Anything Special? Let me know in the comments if you like!
In other news…meh, I’ll get back to you on that….

Ok…so spurred on by my great weekend so far, I decided to pull off a mini-road-trip to Masterton and back. Sounds boring to the un-initiated huh! For me though this was the fulfilment of a challenge against my vertigo as I had to drive OVER the Rimutaka’s which is a mountain range that rises to about 2,300 foot above see level, and the road has drops of over 600 foot in places. Not a drastically challenging road, but not for the feint of heart either. Got to the cafe at the summit and found it had been closed down, possibly for some renovations, meh oh well….I took a couple of photos from the summit so I’ll upload them later and add some to the blog.
In other news…I am about to go get some ‘burger fuel’ and check out the first four episodes of the new Knight Rider at a mates house….S’AWESOME!
